My Psychic Mom

I suspected that my mom was psychic when I visited my late grandparents’ house and saw a photo of an old man, with a long gray beard and a special turban on his head. It was a black and white photo that stood proudly on top of my grandparents’ TV.

Happiness is…

Happy woman with her arms open wide in a field of flowers

Today, as we are very close to the end of the year and wrapping up our achievements of the last year, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to send you blessings of happiness from the Be Happy in LIFE team. We have had the most wonderful year, with many workshops, many new clients, many new children and parents, traveling and new excitement and with plenty of successes added to our record. We would love to share our own happiness with you in a slide show that we have put together.

See What Love Can Do

This week, I received this inspiring movie about a father, who participated in the “Iron Man” (triathlon) competition with his son. I watched it with tears of inspiration, tears of excitement and joy for the glory of parenting and the essence of love. Love can help us carry heavy loads and push through enormous difficulties, and then it can inspire others too.

Global Free Hugs Day

The 19th of October (my birthday, how exciting) has been declared “Global Hugs Day”. Free huggers will be going out to streets around the world from 11am to 1pm local time, offering free hugs to all and spreading human warmth.

Aren’t We Lucky?

A couple of weeks ago, there was a special event at Southbank, the park along the Brisbane River. Among other things, there was a large enclosure, where an organization called Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) showed a model of a refugee camp and took groups of people on guided tours. The line before the gate of the model refugee camp was very long, but we decided to wait.

Pippi Longstocking

Pipi Longstocking

Yesterday evening, Noff and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. As we were walking, Noff told me she was going to have a “book character day” today and she had decided to dress up as Pippi Longstocking. She was very excited, as kids often are, and wanted to know every little detail about Pippi’s character, so that she would do a good job at school.

What is This "Secret" Nonsense?

Some time ago, we visited our good friend Neil, who is married for the second time and lives far away from his son from the first marriage Nathan. Neil had last seen Nathan 11 years before. He had some Photos of Nathan in an album created by his younger son Ben. When Neil had said goodbye his son and moved to another country, Nathan was just 9 years old.

4 Things I Wish I Knew When I Was 15

Innocent teenage girl

In my life, age 15 was the turning point. 4 months before my 16th birthday, I woke up and discovered that the life I lived was an illusion and I opened up to a new life.

For me, 16 was the sweetest thing there was. Life was divided into before and after – before my awakening and after it. Later on in life, there were many times when I wished I could send my 15-year-old self some wisdom to make her life easier.

Here are the things I would send back in time.

Best Parenting Quotes that Will Change Your Life

Parents and kids at the supermarket

Great parenting quotes are an awesome way to inspire ourselves as parents. These words of wisdom can help change our life and the life of our kids.

As you may know, I love quotes (and if you’ve had a chance to read my book or my life coaching website, you know). Since I was young, I believed that the quotes we choose to adopt help us plant thoughts in our mind.

If we choose inspiring, motivating and encouraging quotes, we develop have an inspiring, motivating and encouraging mindset. If we choose sarcastic, pessimistic and disappointed quotes, we will have exactly what we bargained for.

Law of Attraction Tip I Personally Got from Bob Proctor

Bob Proctor talks about the Law of Attraction

It was one of those ads on the Internet that I thought was strange. A free invitation for an evening with Bob Proctor on the Law of Attraction. You can imagine the excitement I felt. You see, Bob Proctor is one of the inspiring people I had chosen to learn from, and the Law of Attraction was on everyone’s mind.

At that stage, when the Internet invitation arrived, I did not know just how much I would learn from him.

Gal and I registered ourselves immediately and sent the invitation to friends, encouraging them to join us. Seeing Bob Proctor 10 minutes away from us, in a hotel, at no cost, was not something we could imagine happening every day. Two of our friends, who live about 2 hours’ drive from us, registered themselves too, and so we made plans to go together.
