I think there is a communication breakdown between parents and kids and it needs to change. Once when I talked to my older daughter about being around people who were not good for her and she did not like it, I asked her to think about her brother who is 6 years younger then her or her sister who is 12 years younger then her and asked her to tell me what would she do if it happened to them. She immediately felt so protective of them that she understood immediately how do I feel as a parent. Come again, Thanks for the encouragement. I think there is a communication breakdown between parents and kids and it needs to change.
Once when I talked to my older daughter about being around people who were not good for her and she did not like it, I asked her to think about her brother who is 6 years younger then her or her sister who is 12 years younger then her and asked her to tell me what would she do if it happened to them. She immediately felt so protective of them that she understood immediately how do I feel as a parent.

If parents work on their parenting from the day the kid is born teens will be just another year of his life.
