Question

My partner and I have been together for a very long time (5 yrs) but are now separated. We love each other very much, but we don’t get along all the time. It is a crazy relationship. I think we can work things out, but we have to start over with a new relationship. Do you think we can work things out now that we know things that we were doing wrong before in the relationship. And do you think that just loving someone is enough to make it work?

My Answer

You must believe that you can improve your relationship if you want it to work.

People are different, you can be together for longer than 5 years and still disagree. I have been with my partner for 27 years and we still have many disagreements, but we love each other very much and yes, I do believe love is the answer and your love is enough to motivate you to work on it and make it happen.

If you know now what did not work before, then separating was good for you.

Concentrate on "yet" - you are not able to work it out yet, but you will be. If you want to, you will. Nothing can stop will power.

By the way, crazy relationships can be exciting, so take the excitement from your relationship and enjoy it.
