You are so right.
If it sounds simple it is only because it is simple.
If you accept your kids and the process they go through as natural ( you were there too). If they know you are there for them when they need you, they will be fine. More then fine. They will be awesome teens.

I have to say, I salute these mom and dad bloggers who share their parenting experiences to us who are also struggling in dealing with our teens. We may have different ways in handling our kids but we, parents, have one thing in common - we only want what's best for our kids. And sharing about our parenting success and failures gives us that comforting feeling that we are never alone when it comes to dealing with difficult teens and that there's hope for a better relationship with them.

It's comforting to know that there are lots of mothers like me who are more experienced in dealing pre-teens and teens; mothers who are definitely willing to share their thoughts and advices on how to raise teenagers.
Parenting my teen is absolutely challenging but then again, we were once teens and I'm sure our parents felt the same way. So I guess the least we could do now is be there for our kids and let them feel that we're there whenever they need us.

Having kids is a big responsibility but for me, responsibility has something creative in it.

I personally believe that every second of kids' life is important.
When they are babies it is important and critical. when they are toddlers, teens, young adults.

Raising 3 kids, at the moment, they are 21 years old, 14 years old and 9 years old. I think that every year ( every week and day) their personality is developing and I can't say that one period is more important or critical than the other.

I adopted the importance of the first 5 years philosophy but every day counts, ever after the first 5 years.

I think like you. I love hearing from people who have experienced it and lucky me, I have heard my stories from inspiring educators that told me that "Teenagers" is a myth.

I hope my readers hear it from me the same as I heard it.

Having a teen is a big responsibility. It's that period of their life, when their personality it's developing, hence it's a critical period of time. I find very useful the advices from parents who already been in this situation! Thanks!

Thanks for the insightful information. Parenting pre-teens and teens is overwhelming for me, and I always appreciate great advice from those who have been through what I am going through.
