(I like your logo)
I guess all parents know that, they never know when it is "Too Much". I do not think we know when is that point because it does not exist. too many parameters are involved that we are unable to tell when we help them becomes handicapping them.
One critical parameter is parents knowing themselves and their feelings, desires, fears and motives. I believe that if we are aware of who we are as parents (without judging ourselves)we can find the balance between making life too easy for our kids or making it too hard for them in the long run.
Thanks for your comment and happy day
Ronit

I totally agree with you that parents need to allow children to trial and error life experiences. I have two boys ages 10 and 9. They ride motorbikes, horses and one has just started riding calves in the rodeos. Parents ask me with fear in their voices "How can you let them do that? Aren't you worried that they will get hurt?". My reply is "I don't watch!! (When it's usually video taped) and a doctor is always available". The look on the boys' faces when they have played tag on the horses galloping through the paddock or ridden the calf for 6 secs, is priceless. And just to let you know that my boys love school, have many friends and enjoy a wide variety of card and board games. In my family I have found that a balance of life is vital for ALL our sanity. And I NEVER have any trouble putting them to bed at night.
Always Happy Parenting
