I think there are many parents searching for the right school but most of them look for a school with academic achievements and do not understand that academic is just one aspect of their kids future.
We know a family that their daughter was a school captain in primary school. This girl rocked. She was in every function, every activity, doing sport, music. She was very academic and they did everything they could to get her into one of the best school in the city. The girl after one term is a shadow of herself. The school she came from was big but the high school was even bigger and she is not coping.
I say, what's the point?
She is so miserable so her parents can say she is studying in the one of the best schools in the city. She is not studying there, she is attending the best school in the city, it is not the same.

Hair Brogmsgrove,

I think there are many parents searching for the right school but most of them look for a school with academic achievements and do not understand that academic is just one aspect of their kids future.<br

It's too easy to leave it til the last minute and then pick a school for them that you know nothing about but which will take them anyway. It's surprising that so few parents take the time to learn about the schools that will help to build the people their children will become.

This is why it's so important to take your time and use real care when choosing a school for your child. I don't know why is that.
I thought as we progress, schools would understand that strict and respect do not go hand in hand.
You are right. High school is a great period and we want to help them find themselves instead of teach them to obey.
Thanks

High School is where many kids start finding out who they are and what they want to do.

Seems like many schools are getting more and more strict and I find it completely unnecessary.
