In children's eyes their parents are definitely their role models, it applies a lot of pressure on you but at the same time not really because if you raise your child right then they will turn out to be lovely adults one day thanks to their upbringing. Raising a teenager is never easy, but whatever you do just keep on being persistent and sticking to your values and morals in order for them to be brought up well.

Hi John,

I am glad you liked it.
I find this topic appearing again and again in my parenting workshops.
for most parents it is a surprise that kids follow their values as they are transfered through their words, behavior and actions.
For some it is devastating to discover that the real work needs to be on themselves. for others, it is empowering.
I am glad it was a reminder for you.
When things are a bit chaotic for me, I need to remind it to myself too.

This is such a great post! Children learn by their parents' example and no where is this more certain than in our values. Every parent needs to 'walk the talk'! Thank you for a great reminder...
