You are right, 100%, many parents think their anger is the way to communicate the boundaries but instead it creates fear in children and fear as you know ( from the angel of love and demons of fear that when fear is there , there is no place for love). If a parent has expectations of how a child should behave, these expectations need to be communicated in advance. This leaves children confused as they are constantly trying to figure our where they went wrong, and it also sets them up for failure all the time, as they have no way of definitively knowing what they should or shouldn't be doing.
