I think the information is overwhelming and many times not accurate. My job as a socializing agent is to filter some of the information. I take it to the extreme and filter every information that may give my kids the thought/ idea that they are not good enough or not slim enough or not healthy enough/ nor talented enough. Generally, the concept of "enough" is a great way to manipulate people to buy things to consume things and our job as parents is to teach our kids that they have been manipulated.
