Magic in Little Hands

Hands holding plantIt was Monday morning when I brought my green sprouting container to school. A group of 3-year-old kids ran towards me to see my "surprise". I opened the plastic bag and took it out. The idea had come into my mind after my Reiki course. Barbara McGregor, my Reiki teacher, had told us that kids, have life energy in their hands naturally and my brain had clicked. Even if they did not, I could always make sure they did…

"What is this?" they asked excitedly.

"We are going to do some magic", I told them.

"Magic is a wonderful word", I thought to myself. I had paid lots of money to spend a very long weekend with someone, who tuned my energy reception antenna and taught me how to heal with my hands, but the kids have this healing ability naturally, and I had every intention of making sure that theirs would not fade.

The kids looked at each other in excitement. I took out a tiny bag with thousands of tiny alfalfa seeds.

"These are magic seeds", I told them and they smiled with excitement. With these kids, I lived in a magical place every day.

"What are we going to do with the seeds?" they asked and I told them we were going to plant them in my magic container.

I let them touch the tiny seeds and they giggled and took care not to drop them on the floor. We put some seeds on the two layers of my "magic" sprouting container, covered them with a third layer and then brought some water to water them. The kids took turns watering the seeds.

"Now what?" one of them asked.

"Now we make the magic", I told them, "Yesterday, I went to a seminar and there was a pretty old lady there with white hair. She said to us that kids have magic in their hands. If someone is hurt, you just put your hand on them and it sends energy and heals their pain. So today, we are going to use your small hands to make magic. I want you all to put your hands on top of the container and send energy and love to the tiny seeds to help them grow".

They all smiled and looked at their tiny hands.

We held our hands on top of the container and they were all excited.

Every 10 minutes, the kids went back to check the container to see if the magic had started.

The morning after, I told them we probably need more energy for the magic to happen and we all stood there with our palms facing the seeds and wishing for the seeds to grow.

After 3 days of Reiki-ing the seeds in the sprouting container, small sprouts started growing. A group of 3-year-olds were shouting and screaming, "It worked! The magic worked!" They saw the magic in front of their astonished eyes.

A week later, some mothers came and asked what had happened and why their kids were convinced that they had magic in their hands. I told them that whenever one of the kids is hurt, all the rest rush to put their hands on the painful place and everyone is calm and happy.

These kids will forever believe in the healing power of their touch. Is this not magic?

I like being a magician!

I encourage you to try this at home and watch the magic happen,
Ronit

There is no generally accepted scientific evidence for either the existence of ki or any mechanism for its manipulation, and a systematic review of randomized clinical trials conducted in 2008 did not support the efficacy of reiki or its recommendation for use in the treatment of any condition

    dear Herbelife,

I sure think you are a digital person.
only digital people need accepted scientific evidence (three digital words) to believe in something.

Did you know that Piaj'e who is the father of many theories on education ( and no one since then contradicted his theory) came up with his theory from the most non scientific research - watching his 3 kids.

no clinical (another digital word) evidence, just observation.

I have been escorting many PHD students and found out that for their research to be accepted and clinically trialled they can do an observation on 3-5 or 10 people.

How do you survive clinical trials that says that tomatoes are poison to the body and the others that says that they are very healthy?

do you know what I think the aim should be?
"Believing in something that makes you happy" and if hundreds of thousands of people go to a massage therapy (or Reiki) and feel good about it, who cares if it does the same to others.
each person is 100% proof. If I do something and it makes me feel good that it is 100% proof that it makes me feel good.

Sorry, I think your definition of what to accept or not does not have much happiness in it.

    wishing you happy thoughts

    HI Connor,

It is funny but because I studied my Reiki from a teacher in a course, I never looked for good sites but as my 21 year old daughter always says, "Google it!" you will know it is a good site if it has many visitors and if the information there is very easy to understand.

I had my course in Singapore so I can only tell you about one teacher that I liked very much. Her name was Barbara Macgregore and she was Australian.

    Happy day
    Ronit
