You are right, we are not fortune tellers. Unfortunately, when our kids are born, we do not immediately have the ability to predict the future but with their birth comes lots of love and doing the best we can is the only thing we can ask ourselves.
parent your kids with the beliefs you have, if you know you are doing your best ( not saying, knowing ), if you know you are following a belief - you'll be fine.
I agree, there is no right and wrong, circumstance has a lot to do with our parenting style.
Happy parenting
Ronit

They always try their best to give their children the happy lives. Your post gives some examples about the kinds of world the parents bring their children. But we can't say that what is the best world for the children. It depends on each circumstance of each family.

Parents always wish all the best for their children. It is funny you commented on text messages.
Today, I suggested someone to text message, would you believe that?
Alex (a high school student I know) had to call her mom in the middle of the day and tell her that she has a drama class and must stay another hour and a half in school. She had to tell her mom because mom needed to come pick her up from school.
Anyway, in between classes, she called mom but mom, who was a teacher in another school was in the middle of a lesson and by mistake did not vibrate her phone…
I stood next to them today while they were talking embraced about the whole incident (can you imagine a teacher having her phone ring in the middle of a class) and I told Alex. You could have text your mom.
Can you imagine, me saying it? I did! It could have saved a lot of hassle
Thanks for visiting my site and thanks for the comment.
I agree, I am sure there is an advantage to SMS or texting. As long as it is in moderation, all is fine.
Happy day
Ronit

I know I was one of those texters and messager but I guess you grow out of it (at least, I did). It's a huge pain in the backside and takes FAR too much time in my opinion. In all honesty I think you are right. When you send a text message, the other person can't say anything. Sad as it may be though, sometimes it works wonders. You know if you call the person they're going to talk your ear off and all you wanted to say is that you'll be 5 minutes late to your meeting next week because you're rushing from the doctors. But as a rule, it can only be really unimportant stuff because as you said, it's not completely reliable and is only read when the receiver bothers to check... which could be next year for all you know!
I think it's just like everything else... everything in moderation.

Haha... that was cute. Hopefully we can start with some good communication.<br
