I was surprised myself when I discovered this Friday 13th myth. I had to ask my kids what does it mean and when I went to find out on the internet about it, I was shocked. (Sometimes it is better not to know).
I like your idea of double luck. I think I am going to use this phrase, double luck, cool!
My kids already know I am making all those things up. Lucky me ( you see, I am doing it to myself a lot) sometimes I tell them about new lucky things that I did not make up myself and Gal backs me up and said, " she didn't make it up, my family believed in it too". The funny bit is that though they say "you have just made this up" they say it to each other or use it when they really need the belief they are lucky.
It works for me, I recommend every parent to try it.
