I think happiness is individual and different for different people. The real search is not for happiness but for your own definition of it.
Though I think my definition of happiness is similar to yours in some way, I believe that it is not the ultimate one.
It is sad that people go to the extreme to find something that is within their reach but maybe this is why we need to search, because by searching we give it a meaning.
Think about it, millions of people are looking for diets that will make them slim (hopefully healthy) but the real diet is the cheapest one and it is in every person's refrigerator - fruits and vegetables in the right balance.
Maybe people needs to go through it to learn that thing they are here to learn and define their own happiness.

Happiness is in front of us so why do we bother our selves searching for it!!

i think that happiness is not easy to reach maybe because people spend their life searching for it,while happiness is here,in every meal we eat,in every good sleeping we get, in every breath we take.
